American Skateboarder Draws Flak For Stunts At Henderson Waves

American professional skateboarder Jimmy Larsen has drawn criticism online after filming himself performing skateboarding stunts at Henderson Waves during a short layover in Singapore.

Larsen, who goes by @offgridskater, shared videos of himself skating on the 274m-long pedestrian bridge, including climbing over a railing and onto an arch about 36m above Henderson Road.
He described the structure as a spot that "looks like a skate park"
According to the National Parks Board's Park Connector Network guidelines, skateboarding is not permitted at Henderson Waves, which is among the locations where wheeled devices are prohibited.
NParks also advises skateboarders to use designated skateparks.
This is not the first time a foreigner has filmed themselves engaging in activities that are not permitted in Singapore.
In October 2025, American influencer Kaz Sawyer filmed himself allegedly sneaking into the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool.
MBS said the pool is exclusively for hotel guests and that it would take appropriate action against anyone who knowingly trespasses.
