Fitness Trainer Denies Being Woman Linked to Faishal Ibrahim Case

A fitness trainer has publicly denied claims that she was the woman involved in the case that led to former Acting Min-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim's resignation, after allegations about her identity circulated online.

In an IG post on 27 July 2026, Rasidah Caudal shared a screenshot of a message alleging that she was "the one who caused MP Faishal to resign"

She described the claim as an "untrue allegation" and said she had been "wrongfully accused as the woman in the Prof Faishal case.

Caudal, a certified piloxing and Pilates instructor, said her only interactions with Faishal were during two fitness events at Kampung Ubi Community Club organised by the Kembangan Community Club Women's Executive Committee.

She added that she had never met Faishal in a personal capacity.

Speaking to news platform Mothership, Caudal said she wanted to clear her name after learning from her students that her photos had been circulating on WhatsApp, TikTok and social media.

She described the allegations as damaging to her reputation and urged those spreading the rumours to stop unless they could provide evidence.

She also warned that she would not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who continued to spread false claims.

Faishal resigned from his political appointments on 20 July after the Prime Minister's Office received a complaint from a female member of the public regarding their interactions.

While both parties accused each other of harassment, investigations found that no criminal offence had been committed. Faishal nevertheless acknowledged that his conduct fell short of the standards expected of a political office holder and resigned.
