Malaysians Praise Hazlina Halim's Malay In Parliament Speech

East Coast GRC MP Hazlina Abdul Halim has drawn praise from Malaysian social media users for her fluent Malay delivery in a clip of her parliamentary speech.

The clip features her speech during the debate on the Finance (Income Taxes) Bill on October 6, when she raised concerns about reducing support under the Enhanced Fund-Raising Programme, which provides matching support for projects benefiting underserved communities.

Hazlina asked whether the reduction should be adjusted, particularly for smaller charities, and whether support could be tailored according to charities' receipts.

She stressed that organisations helping families cope with uncertainty and rising costs should continue receiving adequate support.
