Netizens Call Out Tiktoker for Rude Remarks About Locals' Hygiene During Her Trip

TikTok user ekyn.wong recently went viral after posting travel videos that appeared to show disrespectful comments towards Chinese locals. The clips quickly sparked backlash online, with many netizens criticising her behaviour and saying visitors should show more respect when travelling overseas.

In her videos, the TikTok user was seen making repeated remarks about the people around her, claiming that they smelled bad while gesturing as if she was covering her nose from the smell.

She also appeared to mock them for allegedly not showering or using deodorant before heading out. These actions were filmed in both public spaces and private-hire vehicles.

In another video, she complained about locals being noisy on the train, saying they kept playing with the chairs and stopped her from sleeping.

She later added that she was lucky the locals could not understand Malay, before saying she felt like slapping them over their behaviour. The user has since deleted all videos from the trip.
