Youths Hit Back After Dangerous Anywheel Stunt Draws Backlash Online

A group of youths has come under fire after appearing to shrug off criticism over a dangerous cycling stunt that was caught on video and circulated online.

The video shows one youth riding inside the front basket of an Anywheel shared bicycle as another pedals along Old Airport Road, near Broadrick Secondary School. The group are seen travelling among live traffic, including a concrete mixer truck and a public bus.

At several points, the bicycle appears to weave between lanes and ride in close proximity to the heavy vehicles, raising concerns over the dangers posed not only to themselves but also to other road users.

The incident has renewed calls for greater responsibility among cyclists using public roads, particularly when riding alongside heavy vehicles such as buses and concrete mixer trucks, where drivers have significant blind spots and limited time to react in an emergency.
