Singaporean crew member fell overboard

A Singaporean man, Muhammad Furqan Mohamed Rashid, fell of a bulk cargo carrier on Monday while he was attending a Certificate of Competency course to become a junior deck officer. He has since been missing in US waters.
Search efforts were suspended after 15 hours, but family and friends of the missing crew member still remain hopeful.
He was believed to have fallen overboard the vessel African Cardinal while sailing in the Santa Barbara channel.
His friends and family have made tribute posts on social media, asking for the hopes and prayers of their fellow netizens.
