A video by TikTok user @dineshthebigbaby has gone viral after he alleged that he experienced racism from two Mainland Chinese international students.
In the video, he recounted being in a lift with a friend, alongside a group of Mainland Chinese students, when two of them allegedly spoke in Mandarin, asking, "Do you think they understand Chinese?" before going on to make derogatory remarks about Indians.
The creator further alleged that when the lift doors opened, one of the students asked the other, "should i kick them out," before adding, "they don't deserve to be here"
He said he initially wanted to "cuss them out" but was overwhelmed by anxiety, adding that he was "shaking" during the incident.
Reflecting on the incident, the creator said it was "crazy" that schools were admitting students who "can't even speak proper English"
He also criticised lecturers for allegedly using Mandarin during English-language lectures to accommodate such students.

The incident comes after Singapore authorities in June 2026 ordered social media platforms to block 14 posts targeting the Indian community.
The MHA said investigations found the content had most likely originated from a China-based platform before spreading across YT, FB and X. The posts, which were primarily in Chinese, alleged that Singapore was being "overrun" by Indians and contained derogatory remarks directed at the Indian community.
